Taking into account the various actions and work proposed, LIFE ÁGUA DA PRATA is a project that clearly addresses one of the priority topics for LIFE funding in the 2017 application period related to urban adaptation.
The project directly contributes to the use of LIFE funding for adaptation with a cross-sectoral view, especially linking policies related to climate, water management and cultural heritage conservation. Its contribution to increased climate resilience will be evaluated using a set of LIFE performance indicators, consistent with the Municipal Climate Change Adaptation Strategy.
In addition, and as required for any LIFE-funded project, proposed solutions will be tested, evaluated and disseminated throughout the project to encourage other institutions and teams to replicate them to solve similar problems. This replication is expected to occur not only at national level, but also in other European regions.
